When leading entrepreneur, Tony Gill sold his previous Leeds based envelope manufacturing company, he had two years to fill before he could start anything in that line again. So along with converting a barn into a beautiful million pound home,
he also started to buy and sell used envelope making machinery. That’s when he called on my services to develop a new brand identity for the new company - Encore Direct PLC. |

When the time came to go back into envelope litho manufacture, the idea of performance became the key brand attribute that customers both sought in production and experienced in the charismatic character of the owner. An ace salesman who drove all aspects of the business, along with his team, and knew how to win business from the top agencies in the UK. So I designed the ‘e’ logo, symbolic of a grateful and bowing performer, confident in its status as No.1 in the field. (And of course pleased to be back in the industry again). |

From a standing start to over £12m in five years, the company used its own print facilties and my creative input to spread the word through trade Advertising, Direct Mail, Literature, and Exhibitions. |
